He Trusts You! How Cool Is That!

Dear friends,

I woke up this morning with a heart over flowing; so thankful for the hearts God allows me to care for. It’s a humbling experience to know, the God of all creation, somehow trusts me with a heart that may be hurting or confused.

I have no idea what I did to deserve such trust, but I want, with all of me, to bring comfort to those He sends my way and honor to Him as the One who trusts in me to follow His lead.

How about you? Has God placed a hurting heart in front of you? Are you struggling with how to respond?

It’s easy to get caught up in the here and now of a story unfolding in front of us. It’s also easy to lose sight of the overall purpose.

If you find yourself wondering how in the world you got yourself mixed up in someone else’s life, ask for direction. Sounds simple, I know. The very famous scripture verse; ask and you will receive, knock and the door will be opened, was meant for such a time as this.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

In this verse, Jesus was directing us in how to ask for our needs to be met and to humbly seek what our purpose on this earth truly is. It isn’t rocket science as some would have us believe. It’s simply asking for direction. Really? Yes, really!

In this moment, if God has given you a heart to care for, humbly ask Him to lead you along this path. I promise, He will!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

God doesn’t ask us to fix the problems of those He sends our way, He simply asks us to comfort, listen and lead them to the One who can and will.

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Is God leading you to a hurting heart? Whether you are struggling with how to care for those He’s led you to, are a well-seasoned counselor or somewhere in between, let’s talk about it. We’re in this life together; let’s help each other along this journey.

Thank You Father, for guiding me along this journey of trying to be a blessing to others. Though I have no idea why You trust me with their hearts, I humbly ask for Your leadership as I try my best to lead them to Your comforting arms. Please bless me with words of hope and encouragement to share with others. And while You’re at it, please shield them from anything I may do wrong. In the matchless name of our Lord, Savior and Friend. Amen.

In His embrace,

Toni

How cool it is!! I love helping others learn to trust by sharing the way I learned to trust. My favorite verse for this is Romans 15:13 – “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, AS YOU TRUST IN HIM, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Thanks for your insights!
