Today is the first anniversary of the In His Embrace ministry website. Yay!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to those who have been with me from the first day and another huge thank you to those who have joined us along the way. It is because of all of you that I celebrate this day.
Sharing something with others that bring joy or encouragement is an intentional act. It would be easy just to read, feel something and delete without thinking of another that may benefit from what we’ve just experienced. I am both honored and humbled that anyone would not only enjoy something I’ve written, but also take the next step in sharing it with others.
My hope from day one and still today is to be a light in a dark place. Unfortunately, we live in a dark world where evil lurks around every corner. As we share with one another the good news of salvation, we are each bringing light into dark places.
Along with encouraging words to help us through the tough times, we also share in leading others to the foot of the cross.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Ephesians 1:18-19 (NASB)
I know many, right this moment, who are living in an uncertainty of some sort. Some are broke and have no job or means of support in sight. Some have illnesses that are robbing them of peace and comfort. There are those who are lonely and praying for someone to love. Still others are joyless and praying for God to reveal their purpose in this life. It is for these and many other reasons that I feel compelled to write and share with others the thoughts and concerns the Lord has placed on my heart.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength.” The LORD ismy rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:1-2
As we join together in sharing the Good News of Salvation, my continual prayer will be for all of us to truly embrace this calling on our lives and realize it is our number one priority.
